Almond Granola Pie Crust

Almond Granola Pie Crust Submitted by Robert Flannery, Boise, Idaho

1/2 cup ground almonds and 1/2 cup Sierra Crunch granola

1 cup whole wheat pastry flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp. salt

4 oz. unsalted butter

1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. mild honey

Mix together almonds, granola, whole wheat flour, cinnamon and salt. Cut in butter. Add honey and gather into a ball. Butter a tart pan and press dough into the pan. F ill the pan by pressing portions of the dough from the center of the pan out flat with your fingers. Cover entire pan and pinch the edges around the rim. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. Prebake the crust for 5 minutes at 350 degrees before adding pie filling.
